Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actresswho is known for her appearances in the daytime network, occasional guest appearances as well as made-for TV films. Sofer was recognized with a Daytime Emmy Award by CBS in 1995 for her performance as Lois Cerullo, the role she played in the soap opera General Hospital. Since 2013, she has been playing Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap show The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). Her family later relocated to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Sofer then relocated together with her father David Sofer, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. But, Sofer lived in Western Pennsylvania when she was a kid. Their family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. In the following years, she attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer was born in North Bergen where her father was the rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. After graduating from North Bergen High School in 1998, she continued her education at Montclair State College. Sofer was Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital. Her first appearance came in 1993, as a manager of a band. Her first major role was as Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91). One of her most well-known roles is Lois Cerullo, a nurse on General Hospital from December 15 the 24th of September 1993 to September 24 in 1996. Later she returned to the show as a guest star (February 7, 1997 - September 30 September 30, 1997 October 2, 1997 October 2nd 1997). Her performance as the hilarious Lois has earned Sofer a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for the role of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Sofer was asked to be a part of CBS the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful in the newly created role as Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired on the 12th of July. Sofer has appeared as a guest cast member or guest star in a number of prime-time shows, such as Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She has also been a guest on The Chronicle, Ed and Friends. Her first episode aired July 12.
