Markie Post
Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She began her professional career as a TV and film producer, producing films such as "The New Card Sharks", (1978) and "Card Sharks" (1986). She continued to produce projects like Double Dare (1976), and appeared on various TV shows like E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman (2000). Perhaps her most famous TV performance was "Christine Sullivan" on Night Court (1984). From 1984 until 1992 she was in 156 episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post is her daughter. She was a poet and a well-known nuclear physicist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 to April 7 15th, 2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987), and Daisy Ross (born on March 30, 1990) were born in her second marriage to Michael A. Ross. She was born in Palo Alto, California and raised in Walnut Creek. She was a cheerleader at Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She was trick roping in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). She was cremated and her ashes returned to Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post, who was three months from her 71st birthday date on the 4th of November 2021, passed away on the 7th of August. She passed away just 27 days before fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed at the age of 11 on July 11, 2021. Even though the shows were not related, Night Court (1984) was the final show to end with Christine Sullivan's character departing for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) started with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and she later relocated to a small community after her stint in Washington DC.
