Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18, 1979) is an American actor from America. Her appearances in The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most popular. She also played the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played part in a minor role on The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18th, 1979. She was raised in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. When she was at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville and then at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, she began to act in a variety of college, amateur, and professional theatre productions. Swallow obtained a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She continued her studies to earn an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She was a star in the world premieres of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also appeared alongside Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkinsthe play Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. Swallow won the Falstaff Award for best Female performer in the year 2010 for her performance in Kate in the play Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman created the stage show Jac N Swallow that they staged in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show revolves around their hilarious mishaps when they face diverse life circumstances.
