Alona Tal

Alona Tal, an Israeli-American actor and singer was born on Oct. 20, 1983 in Herzliya, Israel. She began her career while she joined the Israeli Defense Forces. Her breakthrough was in 2003 when she starred in an Israeli film. In addition to her roles in Israeli films, she recorded several tracks with Subliminal. Tal was able to move in with her sister to New York in order to be away from her professional life. She collaborated with Wyclef Jean, a Haitian artist who sang "Party to Damascus". American television was a place she found herself. Her first film role was a recurring character in the TV show Veronica Mars. Tal eventually earned an ongoing role in the CBS series. He was a part of two TV series in Israel before making the move to New York. Wyclef Jean was her singer. Hebrew is her first language. She finished second in the role as Veronica Mars (2004). Thomas was so in love with her that he created the recurring character Meg Manning just for her. She was a member of the Israel Defense Forces. Both her parents are Jews--her father is Turkish/Jewish and her mother is Polish/Jewish. She portrays Adrian Monk's wife who was murdered in the last episode of Monk (2002).
